Mother Nurture
“Mother Nurture” is a picture of the trunk and root of a young tree that grows along my driveway. The original photo contains much more image, but it was the rock cradled in the root of the tree that became the picture. Extensive manipulation of the background layers was done to alter the color, and to diffuse and soften the image. The final picture is printed on sheer paper and backed by a pastel sheet.
